About
Who you are actually hiring.
A boutique firm run by someone who grew up on job sites and still walks every one of them.
A builder’s background, an architect’s eye.
My name is Jonathan Oronzio. I have been on construction sites for as long as I can remember, working for my family’s business, JT Oronzio General Contracting, which works in commercial construction, civil construction and telecom. I have run private build-outs for business owners, put up cell towers for the major carriers, and built the infrastructure people drive and walk on every day for municipalities across the state.
Building houses here runs further back than that. My grandfather built homes in Scarsdale’s Murray Hill neighborhood, including on Nelson Road, and others across Scarsdale and Eastchester. Those houses are the standard I hold this work to, and the reason the company is called Tradition.
My own interest has always been design and craftsmanship. I have an enormous love for architecture and have travelled to study it, the old and the new. Had I not gone into business and law, I would be an architect drawing the next Parthenon, or in urban planning working on the state’s next great development.
I cannot offer you those things today. What I can offer is project management, and a set of subcontractors who are used to working with one another and move as a single unit. Projects get planned, priced and sequenced before anyone picks up a tool, which is what keeps a job moving and keeps the surprises out of it.
Tradition Builders is boutique by design. You deal with me. I price the job, and I am on site while we turn your idea into something you can stand in.
You should not have to manage the people you hired to manage the job.
